Does this package include a POE injector?
The UAP-AC-PRO model single unit package comes with a Ubiquiti branded 48v 0.5 amp Gigabit speed injector with mounting bracket. If you don’t get one, you should cniontact the seller.
But if you are deploying 5 you should be getting a switch that does PoE and using that to provide power to the devices to reduce points of failure and clutter and wall warts. Instead of needing 6 power outlets you need one, instead of having 12 connection points of failure (10 ends of the CAT and the wall socket and switch power connector) you have 32 (5 cat from switch x2, 5 cat to AP x2 and 6 sockets and device connections)
What is the range on this?
There is no way to give a useful estimate of range. It depends on many factors such as building contruction/layout, your tolerance for speed loss at the edge of coverage, how many devices on the network, and how many other networks are around. I’ve seen a quarter mile in open space with zero interference. Most recently I did a 3500 square foot space with three of these, to get total, excellent high-speed coverage. Deploying access points is more than just a plug-and-go affair.
Is this the new AC Pro version that has a max speed of 1300 Mbps or the older Pro model?
Like other 801.11ac access point, 1300mb/s is a marketing statement that is true if you take the combination of the max 2.4GHz radio bandwidth with a 3×3 MIMO client and the max bandwidth of a 3×3 5GHz MIMO client. Essentially 433Mb/s + 866Mb/s = 1300Mb/s.
Does this come with a ceiling/wall mounting bracket?
Yes, it has an easy mounting bracket.
Is this all I need to purchase if I want to connect to my router? Do I need this cloud key or anything else?
To connect to your router using this AP, you need to set up an account on the Ubiquiti site and load their management software (including JAVA).
Once the software is installed and the AP is connected to the same network, you can access it for configuration.
